Designing E-Learning Activities: Guidance & Best Practices For Educators
Start Date: Thu, Apr 30, 2020 12:30 pm - 3:30 pm Workshop #: 7068
Presenter(s): Matt Jacobson/LTC Illinois

KIDS - Main Training Room, 300 Heart Boulevard, Loves Park, IL 61111 (View Map)
Date Summary:   1 Session on 04/30/2020.

As more school districts develop E-Learning Day Plans, it is vitally important that teachers develop strong and meaningful E-Learning Day activities for students. Recent legislation surrounding E-Learning Days requires that classroom activities be inclusive of students with special (IEP/504) needs, as well as students with no or limited Internet connectivity at home. This workshop will explore ways to design engaging instructional activities that will support student learning no matter what the weather brings.

Join us as we explore:
- E-Learning Day legislation and ISBE's requirements for classroom activities.
- Samples of successful E-Learning Day implementation and activities.
- Guidance on how to include students with special (IEP/504) needs.
- Strategies for including students with limited or no Internet connectivity at home.

PLEASE NOTE: Each participant should bring a laptop or tablet to access online resources and create their own documents.
