Description:

This workshop work will focus on developing equitable classroom practices that invite all students to engage in daily learning. We will review implicit and explicit bias and utilize a framework designed to identify bias. We will look at how educational constructs create divisiveness in school settings. Lastly, we will discuss race via affinity groups as a way to start the conversation of how we can support ALL students in our classes. This workshop is hands on, research based, and will give educators tools to use in their own classroom spaces.
