Barter or Buy Membership Agreement Terms

1. This agreement calls for an hour-for-hour exchange of professional development services.
2. If hours are not reciprocated within the school year (or other date as indicated on the Event Agreement), the recipient of the services will remit the amount indicated on the Event Agreement to the contracted district, or portion of time remaining, by June 15.
3. The pay-off rate is $50/hour unless other arrangements are made. If a different rate is required, a district/school contract must be issued independent of the Barter or Buy agreement.
4. If the trainer requires a substitute, contracting district/school agrees to pay the cost of the substitute at the presenter's district daily rate.
5. Barter or Buy exchanges take place during contract days. Trainings scheduled during non-school hours may require a separately-negotiated contract with the individual presenter.
6. Members are not obligated to accept requests for services; however, districts/schools must barter in good faith.
7. Members agree to identify and submit at least 1 presenter to the database, and are encouraged to submit as many presenters as possible.
8. Members agree to accept web-based Event Agreements as formal agreements.
9. Members agree to complete web-based evaluations following events.
10. Concerns regarding individual events or presenters will be addressed between contracting districts.
11. This agreement is good for one fiscal year, and is renewable on an annual basis.
